Happy Cinco de Mayo from everyone here at MaxWood Co. Stay safe out there and take a cab or use a designated driver.
Cinco de Mayo is the celebration of Mexico's win over France in 1862 at the Battle of Puebla and not their independence day. Mexican Independence Day is celebrated September 16th. However, both days, or really any day is a good time to get together with friends and family and sip on an ice cold Tecate or margarita. Feliz Cinco de Mayo mis amigos!!
Happy National Richter Scale Day from MaxWood Co.
Growing up in California, there was always the fear of "the big one" coming. Today is National Richter Scale Day. Many people don't know that the scale is not linear. A magnitude 6 earthquake is not 10% stronger than a magnitude 5. This graph gives a good look at it.
It's also a good time to remind you, at MaxWood Co. we build all our furniture with SOLID WOOD. In the case of an earthquake, you're much better getting under a solid wood table opposed to something made of cheap particle board. Please visit our furniture page.
